All our staff:

  • Are checked against The Prevention Of Vulnerable Adults (POVA) list

  • Supply two satisfactory written references from previous employers

  • Pass both formal interviews with the Registered Manager and Deputy Care Manager

  • Are regularly assessed to ensure the highest standards are maintained

Staff Checks

All our staff are thoroughly checked to ensure the safety of our clients.



All our carers undergo appropriate training and possess the skills and knowledge to carry out their work safely and effectively.

  • ​Staff training is both mandatory and ongoing, keeping pace with the latest regulations.

  • The majority of our carers have attained NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.

  • Staff are signed off as competent under the Shared Care Protocols by the district nurse.

  • New carers are shadowed by another member of staff when undertaking specific care tasks, as identified in the client's care plan, until they are competent and confident.


Our policies and procedures are written specifically to ensure that both clients and staff:

  • Are treated with dignity and respect

  • Are not subjected to sexist or racist remarks

  • Are not abused verbally, physically or psychologically

  • Are given adequate notice wherever possible if they need to vary service arrangements



Our policies and procedures adhere to the National Minimum Standards of Care and work to ensure the health, safety and happiness of both clients and carers.
